Welcome to BeeSwarm. The place to report swarms of honey bees in the UK.

BeeSwarm

Concept

Each of the ~3000 UK postcodes are represented by a Space on the platform where "Swarm Reporters" and "Swarm Collectors" can get together and help each other out. These two can communicate in real time to relocate the swarm; quickly and efficiently.

Postcodes

By Poscodes we mean Out-Postcodes, i.e only the first bit.  SA12 or WC1H etc. not the full postcode.  The Out-Code is the part before the space so do not include any numbers after this. i.e SA6 6XX is a SA6 post code and not a SA66 postcode.

To report a swarm. (Swarm Reporter)

First please check that what you have is indeed a swarm of honey bees. If unsure see this page.

You should SIGN UP FOR AN ACCOUNT. It is free, quick and easy. You will need an email address and please check your spam folder for the confirmation.  If you don't recieve the email within 5 minutes then see below.

Having your own account is best as you have control over the content, however, if you cannot log in, or do not want you own account, to report a swarm from the anonymous account you can log in:  user= Reporter  Pwd= BeeSwarm.  Posts from this account will be deleted on a regular basis. Please do not change settings.

Once signed in, Follow the simple instructions here.

Someone will hopefully be in touch shortly to help you out.  Keep an eye on the site messages as well as your phone.

Beekeepers (Swarm Collector)

You will need to SIGN UP FOR AN ACCOUNT. It is free, quick and easy. You will need an email address and please check your spam folder for the confirmation emal. If you don't recieve the email within 5 minutes then see below.

If you have an old BeeSwarm account you will need to regester for a NEW account and rejoin your postcodes.

Once signed in, follow the simple instructions here.

Sharing the web address www.BeeSwarm.uk will improve the number of swarms all round and hopefully increase the chances of you getting a swarm, as will joining lots of postcodes.

Please note that BeeSwarm is simply an introductory service and will introduce Honeybee swarm reporters with Honeybee swarm collectors we have no responsibility for the services provided by swarm collectors.

Spread the word using our Publicity Materials  As the more people who know about the site, the more swarms will get reported and the more swarms you could get.  A bigger beekeeping collective will naturally result in more swarms.

No registration email?

If you didn't receive the email within 5 minutes then you can get direct access by logging in using one of the 3 dummy accounts.  Please check your spam filter and add [email protected] to your contacts as this will help prevent rejections.
